Travel

The Senior Members of FBC enjoy traveling together, and in fact, travel in several venues. Day Trips are made often while overnight Trips up to three days are also popular. Trips over three days are made twice during the year. Fall, Winter, and Spring are the most popular travel months for FBC Senior Members.

Day Trips
Senior Members have enjoyed Day Trips to Atlanta to Emory University's Michael C. Carlos Museum's display of Holy Land artifacts, to Savannah Christian's authentic and moving production of "The Journey". They also enjoyed a cruise and meal aboard a Savannah Riverboat. We have also traveled to a sister Church and enjoyed fellowship and a potluck meal with a number of other Senior Members from the Ogeechee River Baptist Association. March will find FBC Senior Members headed back to Atlanta for the "Passion Play" produced by First Baptist Church in the Atlanta Civic Center. One day trip per month is planned for the 2008-2009 year when a longer trip is not taking place. Trips to Vidalia, GA to hear the 'Sons of Jubal, to Plains, GA, home of former President Jimmy Carter are examples of trips offered.

Short Trips (up to three days)
Senior members have enjoyed trips to the Georgia Baptist Assembly in Toccoa Georgia.

Longer Trips (over three days)
Senior members have enjoyed trip to the Holy Land and to Europe at Christmas.
