How to Become a Christian

Becoming a Christian is as simple as ABC:

A = Admit that you are a sinner

None of us has to look very far to see sin, do we? We even see it in ourselves. Admitting that we are sinners is the first step in receiving the forgiveness that comes from God.

B = Believe what the Bible says about Jesus

The Bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God—that means we must believe what the Bible says about Jesus to be a Christian. According to the Bible, Jesus came to earth fully God and fully man, and He died upon the cross, paying the penalty for our sins. He was sinless Himself, so His death was a substitute for each of us. The Bible says He rose from the dead and will one day return to the earth.

C = Confess and Commit

Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” That means you must confess your faith in Jesus and commit your life to Jesus. This simple act of faith, through which you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, is done by saying a prayer like this:

Dear Jesus,
I admit that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe in my heart that you are the only Savior of the world and that you died on the cross in my place. I place my faith in You and now accept you as my Lord. I receive your forgiveness and grace through Jesus Christ. Amen.

If you want to receive God’s gift of eternal life, simply say the above prayer in faith, and God save you by His grace.  Please Contact Us so that we can help you in your new life as a Christian.

Want to Share Your Faith with Others?   Use the Roman Road:

Romans 5:8 God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

Romans 10:13 Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved
